South West Liver Buddies

Active liver patient support group working alongside the liver team at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, to help further develop the services offered by the South West Liver Unit (SWLU) across the region. The group exists to provide assistance and friendly encouragement alongside the medical care of NHS professionals.
Members of the group include: patients diagnosed with liver conditions, those undergoing treatment, those waiting for a liver transplant and transplant recipients. They also welcome patients’ friends and family members who assist in their care.

Day One Trauma Support

Day One’s vision is that everyone affected by major physical trauma is supported to navigate the challenges that they and their families face without feeling alone. Since 2014 the charity has provided its services to patients admitted to the Major Trauma Centre at Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust and allied members of the West Yorkshire Major Trauma Network.

Togetherall offers a diverse and safe online community – a place where people can feel safe to share their feelings, support each other, and start to feel better. They expand the role and reach of peer support to populations large and small.
