Mike
After being diagnosed with bowel cancer in July 2021, Mike got in contact with QuestPrehab and quickly began a personalised prehabilitation programme. With surgery booked for September 20th, Mike knew he had just under two months to get mentally and physically prepared before his operation. “I was looking for help and advice about how to make my chances of a successful operation and recovery better by being proactive,” he recalls.
Annemarie
After her diagnosis of bowel cancer in 2021, Annemarie Moore initially struggled with the news.
“I was in shock and was on a rollercoaster of emotions over the first few weeks,” she recalled. “The surgeon, doctors, nurses and my family and friends were very supportive, but I felt a bit lost.”
Brian
When Brian retired as a pharmacist aged 74, he was looking forward to pursuing his passions – model railways and playing classical guitar and soprano saxophone.
However, two years later he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and was told he’d have to undergo hormone therapy and radiotherapy.
